Accreditation Workshops

EUROCONTROL is organising regularly one week training and accreditation workshops for ELPAC  test administrators, Paper 1 markers and Paper 2 examiners.

Only participants from States who have signed a Licence Agreement on ELPAC with EUROCONTROL will be admitted to the workshops. Participants will be admitted on a “first come, first served” basis.

No provisional bookings will be made.

States interested in using the ELPAC test should write to Mr Adrian Enright (ELPAC project leader) and ask for the text of the Licence Agreement.

Required qualifications:

  • Administrator: background as ATC or ELE (English Language Expert) is an advantage; good knowledge of English (at least ICAO level 4), computer literacy (internet, MS Office).
  • Marker (Paper 1 – Listening Comprehension): ATC or ELE experience, English (ICAO level 5), computer literacy (especially internet).
  • Paper 2 Examiners (2): (Assessor/Interlocutor): ATC and ELE, excellent knowledge of English (ICAO level 6)

Note: Because of the high stakes nature of this language proficiency test it is very important to maintain standards of test administration, marking and examining. For this reason, and in view of the limited training time available, all workshop participants will have to complete a 12-hour self study preparation prior to the workshop. Participants will be assessed on their performance (as administrators, markers, assessors or interlocutors). Only successful participants will receive a certificate of accreditation.
